Wearing Hoodies With Pride

Today is the start of LGBT History Month across the UK. A time when we can reflect on both the sacrifices and the achievements made by past generations in their quest for equality, regardless of a person’s sexual orientation. This year is particularly important. We acknowledge the 50th anniversary of the the Stonewall riots, that took place around the Stonewall Inn in the Greenwich Village neighbourhood of Manhattan. Events that became the catalyst for the modern ‘gay liberation and pride’ movement.

This evening, Pride Saltire East Lothian, start their series of joint-events with The Brunton in Musselburgh to celebrate LGBT History Month. To ensure that the Pride Saltire volunteers are visible in the theatre foyer, [gawr-juhs] applied the branding that we created for them to hoodies and pop-up banners. So if you attending tonight’s performance by funny-man Craig Hill, or one of the Pride Saltire film screenings during February, don’t forget to stop and say “Hello!” to their hard-working volunteers.
