OutConnect at Sky

I was in London for OutBritain’s OutConnect Conference at Sky’s headquarters yesterday. Building Proud Businesses explored topics ranging from supplier inclusion, the role of Employee Resource Groups, and the social impact that LGBTQ Owned Businesses can make.

Another reason for my attendance was to enable me to see some creative work that I’ve produced over the past couple of months. Following on from the design of their 2026 Pride Guide, Patrick Dickinson invited me to work with him again on the elements required for this conference. This included a fresh OutConnect identity based on OutBritain’s recent rebrand, on-screen presentation and social media templates, right through to name badges.

The most impactful pieces though were two video installations that I’d created for large screen mosaics in Sky’s Visitor Centre. For me it was not only thrilling to see my work on such a grand scale, but also equally satisfying to watch conference delegates, and other people within the building, photograph and video my work.

My heartfelt thanks goes again to Matt Dabrowski and the entire OutBritain team for championing the UK’s LGBTQ+ Owned Businesses, and for persuading its members to collaborate with them in ways that showcase their talents and what they do so perfectly.
